Hidden away in the Komix Korner, central to the world of Campy Deltoid (Comics aficionado extraordinaire), is CD-the Caped Dynamo-who first appeared in comics over fifty years ago. CD is the alternate identity of Clarence Debit, an accountant by day who is fed up with his interminable span in comic books and is trying to convince everybody that it is time for him to retire to the country, ANY country! He reads "The Wall Street Journal" for amusement and harasses Campy about her lack of financial planning for the future.

"Look here! Look at this insurance company ad!" (This is a typical CD form of harassment.) " 'The Wisdom of 147 years. The imagination of a five year old.' That could be US, Campy. If you would just take my advice!"

To which Campy typically responds, "Ah, the deuce you say! You can NOT liquidate my comic collection to start a business, especially not an INSURANCE business! I don't care if you DO have the wisdom of Salomon Brothers!"
